Abstract

ABSTRACT Deeng, Maria A. T. 2022. The Hierarchy of Human Needs Reflecting of the Main Character in the Incredible 2 Film. Undergraduate Thesis. English Literature Study Program. Faculty Language and Literature. Flores University. Advisor I: Marianus Woda Liru, S.S., M.A. Advisor II: Maksimilianus Doi, S.S., M. Pd. The aimed of this study is to find out the Hierarchy of human needs relflected in the main character and then the kinds of motivation influnce the main character fulfill her needs used Abraham Maslow theory. This study used descriptive qualitative method to describe the utterance and actions from the main character based on problem of the study. Source of data were taken from the Incredible 2 film. The result of this study found four types from five types hierarchy of human needs namely, physiologis needs, safety needs, lova and belonging needs, and esteem needs. Therea are also two types of motivation that influence the main character, including intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.
