ABSTRACT Chardinandus Luider Tao: 2014240070. The Role of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri Cooperative in the Social and Economic Life of the Village of Sokoria, Ndona Timur District, Ende Regency. Essay. Ende: History Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Flores, 2020. Supervisor I Drs. Thomas Geba, M.Si And Advisor II Drs. Yosef Tomi Roe, M.A. The problems raised in this study are what are the benefits of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative for the people of Sokoria Village, Ndona Timur District, Ende Regency and how the role of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative for the people of Sokoria Village, Ndona Timur District, Ende Regency. The research objectives are (1). This is to find out the benefits of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri Cooperative for the socio-economic life of the people of Sokoria Village, Ndona Timur District, Ende Regency. (2). To find out the role of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative in the community of Sokoria Village, Ndona Timur District, Ende Regency. The theory used is the Role Theory, Economics and Cooperatives. This paper uses qualitative research methods. The research subjects were members of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri Cooperative. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used in this study were (1). Data reduction (data search), (2). Data display (data presentation), (3). Verification (conclusion). The results show that the Sokoria community currently feels very helpful with the presence of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative which provides facilities in services such as providing loans that are larger than the principal savings. In addition, the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative also provides loans to its members with low interest and easy collateral. As for the activities carried out by the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative, namely by holding outreach to the community, and also having to maintain services. So far, the Sokoria Daya Mandiri Cooperative has been very helpful to the community in terms of improving the economy for its members. With the existence of the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative, farmers in Sokoria Village can breathe easy because the cooperative can help the community in terms of capital and also savings and loans. The role that the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative plays in supporting the economic needs of the community in Sokoria Village is through savings and loans for members by striving to be able to take advantage of the services provided by the cooperative to its members for the welfare of members or the community. Thus the Sokoria Daya Mandiri cooperative in developing the community's economy has indications to play a role in advancing the welfare of members.
