Abstract
ABSTRACT The Influence of the Discovery Learning Learning Model on the Intentional Intent of Ips Subjects in Social Mobility Teaching Materials in Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 5 Nangapanda Maria Astriana Gona Economic Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Flores. E-mail: gonaastriana3001@gmail.com This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of discovery learning on integrated social studies subjects for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Nangapanda. (2) Students' interest in class VIII at SMP Negeri 5 Nangapanda. This type of research is quantitative research with data collection techniques (1) observation, (2) questionnaires, (3) documentation. The collected data were analyzed using product moment correlation. Based on the data and the discussion proves the research findings (1) the discovery learning model of SMP Negeri 5 Nangapanda with (x) = 0.281, (2) students' interest in learning at SMP Negeri 5 Nangapanda with (y) = 0.2855. From the analysis, it was found that the value of r_ (xy) = 0.0098 means that in the statistics studied there was a positive relationship between the effect of discovery learning learning models on learning demands. Furthermore, using the t test with the calculated value of 0.283> 0.05, this shows that the results of this study can be accepted by rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (Ha) so the working hypothesis states that there is an effect of discovery learning learning models on interest in learning to attract. valid conclusions accepted. Thus it is suggested: (1) The principal should provide opportunities for all teachers to follow guidance regarding the curriculum and learning methods or models that will be used to attract student learning interest, such as following student learning training, (2) Teachers should apply models or methods used in the learning process to attract students' attention so that students are more interested in learning.
